It’s Important for Victims to Have a Safe Place to Go

For more than a hundred years, the WCA has saved thousands of lives by being the go-to place for anyone in the Omaha area who is experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking. Our free, high quality services address our clients’ immediate safety needs and help them to grow into independence over time.

We meet clients where they are in their journey, assessing needs and barriers, providing options and resources, and offering on-going emotional support. We do this through a holistic approach that comes from our deep understanding of trauma and its effects.

Our new space, centrally located at 3801 Harney Street, was designed with our clients and work in mind. Clients can reach us easily from major roads and interstates and on public transportation routes.

Special attention has been paid to making a safe place for those who have experienced violence. We’ve created secure and separate entrances for visitors, law enforcement, and clients; the consult rooms allow clients to have a secure and private conversation with an Advocate, while keeping an eye on their children to ensure they are safe. Every detail has been carefully considered.

We have a special waiting area for families, so that children can be comfortable and entertained while their parent is waiting to be served. There are even trauma recovery rooms where both clients and WCA staff can go to take a moment to collect their thoughts after an emotionally taxing event.

The WCA offers a safe place for anyone impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking. We are 100% confidential as we walk side-by-side with our clients.
