All classes and support groups are free of charge. We can even provide transportation to and from class if you need. Just call ahead! Sorry, childcare is not provided, so you will need to make other arrangements for your children.

Getting Ahead – Nine-week educational group on Thursdays from 1:00-3:00 P.M.. The mission of Getting Ahead is to assist individuals in their efforts to build and maintain healthy families. Also to empower individuals in their effort through accessing social services, building personal support system, and attain the basic and life skills for stable employment. Please call to register for this group.

Empowerment – Seven-week psycho-educational/skills group on Tuesdays from 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.. Provides women with the tools to change patterns of learned behaviors so that they can and will live empowered and emotionally healthy lives. Please call to register for this group.

Foundations (in English) – Five-week educational group on Mondays from 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.. Topics cover physical, emotional, financial, family, and sexual safety.

Foundations (in Spanish) – Five-week educational group on Mondays from 9:00-10:30 A.M. at the Latina Resource Center. Topics cover physical, emotional, financial, family, and sexual safety.

Professional Development Workshop – Five-week workshop that occurs quarterly on Mondays from 1:00-3:00 P.M.. This workshop is designed to sharped office skills. Dive into vision boards, learn more about Microsoft Office programs, and freshen up your resume, cover letter, and interview skills. Please call to register for this group.

Financial Development Workshop – Held once per month on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00 P.M.. The purpose of this group is to learn skills to budget and save money as well as improving and maintaining credit. Please call to register for this group.

Girl’s Leadership Academy – Workshops cover a variety of topics like: self-exploration, relationships, financial literacy, health and wellness, goal setting, career exploration and volunteering. Call our office to sign a girl up!
10-week program for girls in 5th and 6th grade

Beyond Trauma: A Healing Journey for Women – Twelve-week therapy group on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 P.M.. The focus of this group is to understand trauma, how it affects women’s lives, and how to heal from it. Please call to register for this group.

Domestic Violence Support Group – Meets Mondays from 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.. Provides continued support for women who are in, or have been in, abusive relationships.

Sexual Assault Support Group – Meets Wednesdays from 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.. Provides continued support for women who have been sexually assaulted.

Spanish Support Group –Meets Wednesdays from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the Latina Resource Center. Provides continued to support for women who are in, or have been in abusive relationships or have been sexually assaulted.

LGBTQIA+ Trauma Support Group (PRISM) – Meets Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 P.M.. Provides continued support for members of the LGBTQIA+ community who have experienced trauma.

Secondary Survivors Support GroupMeets Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 P.M.. Provides support for those who have a loved one who has been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and/or human trafficking.

Hold the Line – Meets Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 P.M.. Provides support to all who have served or are currently serving in any branch of the military who have experienced trauma, are transitioning out of the service, or are seeking a peer support network.

Men’s Non-Violence (in English) – Part of a community response to domestic violence. This group is not intended to be the sole means to ending domestic violence or to saving relationships or marriages. The purpose is to hold abusers accountable for their behavior, challenge their beliefs, teach them new skills to change their behavior, and to enhance the safety of victims, both children and adults. Pre-registration is required, but this class is on-going and you can jump in at any time. Call our office to sign up.
Once a week for 36 weeks. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the WCA

Support Groups are facilitated by WCA staff and provide an opportunity to get to know other WCA clients with whom you may have a lot in common. Trauma Sensitive Yoga – Meets Tuesdays from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. or Thursdays from 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.. Yoga specifically adapted to the needs of those who have experienced traumatic events with gentle guidance from a specially trained instructor.

Mindfulness Meditation – Meets Thursdays from 6:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.. Learn techniques to help you through stressful moments and build skills to help you live a more purposeful life.

Room to Breathe (AA) –Meets Wednesdays from 6:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.. AA meeting open to women facing any addiction.

Overall wellness is important for all of our clients. Our wellness classes are free and open to any survivor of trauma
